You can put most things in these and my baby can feed himself. It helps when he is hungry and I need time to prepare his meals so I give him a snack in the teething feeder. I sometimes even put frozen yogurt in it so it like he is having a frozen treat.

My daughter was given this as a gift, and being my first child, I had never heard of "Sophie" before. I was impressed with the story that comes along with it (with respect to the natural rubber and safe paint) but was really surprised with how much my little girl absolutely loves it!! As soon as she started gripping objects, this one became her favorite as it is easy to hang onto. She is just starting to teethe, and chews on either the legs or head constantly. o Let your child gnaw on Popsicle, a cold ring, but not frozen teething or frozen bananas.

o Give your baby Acetaminophen (Tylenol) for a few days if your baby is not comfortable, or

o Give your baby Baby Advil (ibuprofen) if Acetaminophen is not working. Ibuprofen may be better because it contains anti-inflammatory component andAcetaminophen does not.

What you can not Give To be your baby teething symptoms

If your baby is less than four months, no lotion or lubrication is claimed to soothe teething pain. They may have ingredients that wash out of the mouth in a few minutes and could numb your baby tenggorokan cause choke.

No matter how convincing your friends or relatives sound, but not, in any circumstances, place alcohol into your mouth.Apply a "whiskey" is not nothing. Alcohol is poison for a young baby. Do not do it.

My son has been enjoying Sophie for about 3 months now. He is currently 6 months old and this is by far one of his favorite toys. This toy is very easy for him to grab with those little fingers and he loves chewing on legs, ear, horns and mouth. I felt a little robbed on this product. First of all, I fully expected to receive 4 teethers not just one. It may have been new mom syndrome where I didn't read fine print somewhere but like I said, I was disappointed.

Then to find out that I they randomly choose which item I get was also a bit disturbing. I wanted to the hand and thankfully I did get the hand. HOWEVER, the fingers are not far enough apart. The teething part works still but it's a bit difficult to use it in the way it should be without having them further apart.

All that aside, my son loves it. We refrigerate it sometimes (keep in mind you should never freeze anything and give it to an infant...their gums are just as sensitive as ours and can't handle that temperature) and it stays cold. Easy to hold, easy to throw ;-)

This giraffe was a bit disappointing straight out of the box.I had no idea it squeaked; it does come across as a dog toy. Our dog did run over and still eyes the toy across the room waiting to make her move...

That being said, our daughter didn't have a lot of interest in this toy until she began teething. I thought the squeaking would be annoying, but really she never squeaks it. The legs are perfect size for her hands to grab. Its light weight enough for her to pass,hold, and control.

It is definitely a supervision only toy. In our case, our daughter likes us to hold it for her (even though she can grasp it well). This gives her more concentration on gnawing ;). (I can see how the limbs could go far into the mouth...which probably feels great when getting those back teeth. I could see how they may go back too far however, and would urge people to read the other reviews.)

That being said, our girl loves to stare and grab this giraffe. The colors are great. As for the rubbery smell other people have mentioned....it IS rubber. Rubber has a distinct smell and if you don't like it, then you shouldn't buy rubber.

Both are quite good, but this review will focus on Boiron.

My little one has been teething off and on for nearly two months. He's gnawing on everything in sight and every other day fusses to high heaven because of discomfort.

I used Boiron's Camilia from the get go to help with the symptoms.

1) Baby loves 'drinking' them.

2) I only use as needed and generally don't administer more than 2-3 times daily. He's the fussiest an hour before naps (and the most drooly) so I often does him them. The effect of the remedy can be seen within 15mins for my baby (this is also true of Hyland's tablets as well).

3) I usually pair this with the Hyland's gel as well, although successfully bypassing his tongue to get to his gums is a trick.

Overall, I've been having solid success with using this product AS recommended.

I do think Hyland's teething tablets work slightly better than Boiron's Camilia, but I have to say Camilia travels better when you're out and about..

Would highly recommend this as a natural alternative to synthetic medicines.

My 5 month old son has never taken to pacifiers, and always gags like he's going to vomit when he gets one in his mouth. But for some weird reason, THIS magnificent item works for him! It doesn't serve to soothe the way a regular pacifier does, but he loves to gnaw on it all day long. The genius of this product is that ALL parts of it are chewy, so no matter which way he manages to get it in his mouth, it works for him. The nipple part is also chewier than regular pacifiers usually are. Overall, without this product i would have a much grumpier baby, it's a must have for my son!
